AI is the wizard's wand that conjures intelligence from code in the world of machines. With the development of AI, the world is drastically changing. The god father of AI, Geoffrey Hinton, claims that AI is a replica of the biological brain that has been fed petabytes of data. For the past 4 billion years, only organic life has existed. Nevertheless, in today’s society, inorganic agents have begun to appear and is a phenomenon referred to as alien intelligence.
Artificial intelligence (AI) is advancing quickly and has the potential to revolutionise businesses, improve human capacities, and solve complicated problems, making AI a potent force for positive transformation and progress within society. Companies like Disney use AI to produce animation for their films. AI has also aided Businesses with their e-book writing. Due to AI, freelancing has seen a significant adjustment. Various Chatbots powered by artificial intelligence act as virtual assistants. Different AI technologies have aided individuals with a variety of tasks, including graphic design, video editing, marketing, web development, and a multitude of other projects.
Underneath the gleaming surface of AI's benefits, however, are valid concerns about its social ramifications, which calls for a close look at its potential downsides. According to Elon Musk, artificial intelligence poses a considerably larger risk than nuclear weapons, since it is believed that AI development can result in political propaganda. In the past, a discrete example of AI in action occurred during the Brexit vote. Instead of presenting all the commercials, customised adverts were shown based on people's interests. Once the data was finished processing using machine learning, 51.9% of voters chose to leave the European Union.
A careful balance between progress and monitoring is necessary given AI's potential benefits and risks. AI is not necessarily a job killer but is capable of becoming a job category killer. According to World Economic Forum, 97 million new Jobs will emerge, due to Al technology. According to Yuval Noah Harari, AI will soon be able to create new religions by composing their own texts and having their own worshippers. with the advent of artificial Superintelligence, major issues that have not yet been addressed may be handled, similar to Cancer. As AI develops its language proficiency past the skill level of the typical human, AI may be capable of starting conversations with humans and be able to utilise the intimacy of these interactions and potentially sway its ideas.
The all-knowing entity known as artificial intelligence is gaining ground in the twenty-first century. Humans need to be able to adapt and better educate themselves about AI so that they will be able to utilise AI within their careers. AI is running nearly 10 billion operations every second when compared to the capabilities of a human's brain being at 1000 operations per second, this number is phenomenal and life-altering. Given this information, we can figure out the legacy of AI. As the sun sets on the discourse of the merits and pitfalls of Artificial Intelligence, it rises on our responsibility to direct its course.
